Overview
Gregory M. Levy joined Kaufman Rossin in 1992. He retired from active practice, and now holds the status of Principal Emeritus in the financial services department. He developed expertise in hedge funds, investment advisory firms and securities brokerage firms as a national firm partner in New York and Chicago prior to joining the Firm.
He is a nationally recognized authority on private investment funds (hedge funds) and has authored numerous articles in investment and accounting journals. He has been a frequent panelist and speaker at national seminars dealing with hedge fund taxation, accounting and financial reporting and was a member of the AICPA's Investment Company Expert Panel.
He is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and Illinois and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Illinois CPA Society.
Greg earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Roosevelt University and an Master’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from De Paul University, where he also studied in their graduate tax program.
