Avelino Rodrigues Joins Kaufman Rossin as Principal
Kaufman Rossin, one of the top 100 CPA and advisory firms in the U.S., announced today that Avelino “Vino” Rodrigues, CPA, CFF, has joined the firm as a principal in the Forensic, Advisory and Valuation Services practice.
He brings more than 25 years of practice experience in fraud, litigation, regulatory and other matters and has served clients throughout the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean.
At Kaufman Rossin, Rodrigues provides advisory services including FCPA violations consulting, fraud investigations, financial and risk due diligence, litigation consulting, complex accounting, auditor malpractice and audit defense, anti-money laundering (AML) investigations and evaluation of related programs and regulatory compliance services.
Prior to joining Kaufman Rossin, Rodrigues was with an international consulting firm, where he led their Latin American Investigations practice. Before that, he was at one of the Big 4 accounting firms for 12 years and formed part of their forensic and quality review practice. He has worked on assignments for Fortune 500-level clients in various industries, including conducting audit defense work on some of the largest fraud cases in Latin America.
Rodrigues is a founding board member of the South Florida Chapter of the Association of Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) and a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida and is also Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). He has a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A native of Curacao, he is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Dutch.
