Kaufman Rossin Expands Risk Advisory, New York Presence with Bryant ‘B.J.’ Moravek

Kaufman Rossin, one of the largest independent accounting firms in Florida and one of the top 100 CPA and advisory firms in the U.S., announced it has strengthened its New York City risk advisory services presence with the addition of Bryant “B.J.” Moravek as director of AML & sanctions compliance.

Moravek has more than three decades of experience in banking, regulatory compliance, and financial crimes investigation. He is a federally designated expert in Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance and most recently served as a senior bank examiner with the Office of The Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) in Washington, D.C., where he specialized in BSA/AML and sanctions compliance. Prior to that, B.J. served as a senior special agent within the Office of Compliance and Enforcement at the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), after a 20-year career as a supervisory special agent with the United States Secret Service. He also served as a senior advisor to United States Senator Alfonse D’Amato, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee.  Additionally, he has served as a BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance Officer for several large complex multi-national financial institutions during his career.
