Kaufman Rossin’s Janet Altman Receives ‘In The Company Of Women’ Award

Janet Kyle Altman of Kaufman Rossin is a winner of the 2019 In the Company of Women awards. She will be honored in the category of “Business and Economics.” She is the firm’s second woman to receive this award; Tanya Ferreiro, assurance services principal, won in this category in 2016.

The awards recognize South Florida women who have excelled in their professional careers and contributed to the advancement of women in the community through their leadership, commitment, service, and vision. Janet has demonstrated she is a champion for women, most notably as a leader of the Equal Pay Miami-Dade campaign.

The 31^st annual reception and awards ceremony will be held on March 7, 2019, hosted by the Miami-Dade County Commission for Women, Miami-Dade Parks and the Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade. This year’s celebration will coincide with the Parks Department’s 90^th anniversary. Proceeds from the event will help support The Women’s Park and the Girls Empowering and Mentoring (G.E.M.) Summer Arts Program.

Altman is a principal in Kaufman Rossin’s marketing department and has been with the firm since 2000, responsible for the firm’s marketing and branding efforts. She was instrumental in the development of the firm’s community engagement program, which supports firm members’ involvement in more than 200 community organizations, and she continues to inspire through mentorship, writing, lectures and seminars.
