Kaufman Rossin in the Community: Families First of Palm Beach County

Bao Nguyen talks about his involvement with a nonprofit organization.

Which organization are you involved in and what is its objective?

I’m involved with Families First of Palm Beach County. Families First is a private, nonprofit organization and countywide family services agency. It assists Palm Beach County families who are struggling to provide the best possible environment for raising their children. In some cases, these families are dealing with issues of chronic illness, learning or physical disabilities, domestic violence, or substance abuse.

What is your role with the organization?

I’m a member of the foundation board, which allows me to help define the organization’s mission, provide guidance and participate in the foundation’s fundraising activities.

Why did you decide to get involved in this organization?

I got involved because I believe in the mission of Families First. In order to build strong communities, we need to provide assistance to the families who struggle to establish a healthy foundation, which includes a healthy environment for children. A child’s life is critical in building future leaders in our community. Families First of Palm Beach County provides such assistance to those families through various initiatives.

How has Kaufman, Rossin contributed to your success with this organization?

Kaufman, Rossin has not only financially contributed to Families First of Palm Beach County, but they have brought awareness to the organization through several initiatives.

What is your advice for others who are thinking about getting involved in the community?

My advice to those who are interested in getting involved in the community is to find a cause you are passionate about, then use your strengths to fulfill that passion for the benefit of the community.
