Assignment 2: Write a short individual report examining the two sections below:
In terms of the most recent events (e.g. Corona Virus) and therefore the current situation and circumstances facing most businesses today, analyse the external environmental forces influencing an industry of your choosing. Discuss how changes in the external environment require organisations to reconsider both their ‘strategic direction’ and ‘strategic change’ initiatives by using an organisational example or examples to support your views. (1250 Words).
Apply Michael Porters ‘Five Forces Framework’ to an industry of your choice and examine the competitive nature of that industry. (750 Words).
NB: The total word count for the report is 2,000 words + or – 10%. Also please ensure that you acknowledge an author’s work to support your views and opinions by referencing according to the Harvard Referencing System.
