Discuss the effects and influcences of culture on how we define and measure intelligence. In your discussion, include factors that may account for the fact that one cultural group may characteristically score lower than another on noverbal and verbal IQ tests. Consider the role of factors such as: cultural differences, cultural advantages/disadvantages, impaired or inability to understand written or oral directions, lack of interest/motivation in the testing situation, or factors more related to personality than intelligence.
