Assignment Topic: Diversity in the Workplace – Refer to the case study available in Moodle.
Based on the case, you will compile a report which should address these questions as follows:
- How could these units work collaboratively in the future?
- If you integrate the functions would this solve the problems?
- Would a top-down restructure highlight that there was real racial tension in the organisation, waiting to explode?
- Faced with this situation, what would you do to change the culture in the organisation?
- How long would it take to make those changes?
You must also record a 4 minute review of the case and your responses to the questions supplied in the case.
Component 1 – Report
The structure of your report should be as follows:
- Executive Summary
- Table of contents (with page number)
- Overview of the case study
- Purpose and outline of the report
- Answer each of the questions provided
- Any recommendations you would make
- Appendix (optional)
Please Note: You are expected to research this topic of diversity and include at least 5 references. Referencing should be Harvard Style
Component 2 – Presentation
It is recommended you make a PowerPoint presentation with a commentary. You can also have the option of establishing a Zoom session for yourself and having the slides on the screen as you record your presentation. As a last option, you can video yourself with another format and submit a link to that video. For all options please supply a link to the presentation not the whole file.
A marking rubric for both components will be made available separately.
