This social media and online PR strategy will be linked to a specific product/service/awareness launch as devised by your group

 

Tasks:

 

Write a social media plan for your organisation/brand.

Included in this plan should be;

 

  • Conduct a social media audit of your chosen brand/organisation (including all platforms that they are involved with, and evidence or social media/PR activity over the previous six months)
    • Use screenshots to support your findings (Include a minimum of 6 to support your findings)
  • Devise an event/launch/campaign for the brand for a new product/service/event
    • Include a description and explanation about the suitability of your chosen event
  • An outline of a press/PR launch event to drive online awareness of the brand
  • Create 2 personas of customers or potential customers (include as screenshots – not links)
    • Suggestion – Use Xtensio
  • An outline of social media content around that event
    • Select and justify a suitable influencer (Irish) to collaborate with
  • Choose 2 social media channels relevant to this target audience and create one piece of content for each channel for each week of the campaign (16 pieces in total)
    • Content should be relevant, timely and suitable for the chosen audiences
    • Each piece of content should be justified in terms of why it is suitable
    • Content needs to be well crafted and should drive engagement
    • Suggestion – Use Canva for Content
  • Create an 8-week social media calendar highlighting actions to be conducted through the campaign
  • On completion of the project and ahead of submission, the group needs to write a reflective piece on the process of conducting the assignment , the challenges faced both as a group and in completing the project and highlighting the learning achieved (in terms of PR/Social Media and working as a group)

  • Ability to communicate in a coherent & understandable manner, professional presentation and use of Harvard Style referencing 10%

 

 

 

Submitting:

  • This is a group assignment.
  • Groups should consist of 2 or 3 members and should be self-selected.
  • Include a cover page with group members listed and overall word count
  • You must submit your group and chosen organisation by Thursday October 15th
  • 60% of the module marks will be awarded for this.
  • Your submitted essay/report must be submitted in PDF/Word format.
  • Please reference any quotes, information, diagrams etc. you refer to in your essay.
  • Soft copy to be submitted to turnitin.
  • Word count 4,000-4,500 words with 10% allowance either side. This count also allows for relevant content to be added.
  • This project must be completed as a group – it is not acceptable to split the different requirements among individual team members – this leads to a disjointed assignment and will be evident to me when reading.
    • I reserve the right to interview any student to determine their contribution to the project and marks can be amended to reflect a poor contribution
