Zimbardo’s prison simulation or Stanford Prison Experiment
1. Students should identify as many ethical issues as possible from the video.
2. Once those ethical issues are identified, students should show how the simulation could have been done differently to lessen those concerns.
3. Students should read the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences’ (ACJS) (2000) code of ethics at https://www.acjs.org/page/Code_Of_Ethics Go to membership and click on Code of Ethics
4. Prepare a report on how they would apply the ACJS Code of Ethics to the Stanford prison simulation.
