Zachary Solomon: A Brutal Design

Alper Jewish Community Center Miami is hosting Miami native author Zachary Solomon to talk about his newest novel, A Brutal Design. Solomon’s most recent novel is about architecture student Samuel Zelnik, who after the fascist takeover of his European homeland and the murder of his parents,  receives an offer to work in the experimental utopian city of Duma. Offering him freedom and a chance to find his missing uncle and exiled avant-garde artist, he is awed by the city’s brutalist architecture and the artist’s work that equally enchants and repels him.
